Cristina Pistoletto has been researching contemporary theatre and performance for years, starting with her own body, using voice and gesture. Over time she has developed an awareness of art as an instrument of freedom and responsibility, the artist as a civic actor, pushed out of the protection of designated places, into the outposts of the peripheries.
