Akaihirume is a Japanese singer whose ear is always tuned to the sounds of the world, keeping them as material in her shell.
As both an original songwriter and an improviser she has worked with a variety of artists, including Carl Stone, Simon Fisher Turner, and Yasumune Morishige.
Akaihirume began a collaboration with the American composer Carl Stone in 2015 in Tokyo and their works have been performed in Japan, Asia, and the United States.
In 2019, Carl Stone released his Album named Himalaya from Unseen Worlds, and the title track is the first recorded release from their collaboration. Akaihirume composed it for him with respect in 2016. The overall structure includes section for improvisation and this version was recorded in Los Angeles in September 2017.
