Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Adriana began her ballet training at the Balletteatro Infantil de Puerto Rico, after being noticed by the director of the school. She spent two years of training there when the director decided to close the school, so she passed onto the Conservatorio de Ballet Concierto de Puerto Rico, where she studied until the age of seventeen with both Puerto Rican and Cuban teachers. Following the receipt of a scholarship from the director of the company of Boston Ballet, Mikko Nissinen, during their summer program, she moved to Boston to train with the Boston Ballet School where she finished her ballet training two years later.
After leaving Boston, she worked with several different companies in the USA, France and Belgium. These include Orlando Ballet, National Opera de Bordeaux (under Charles Jude) and Royal Ballet of Flanders, before joining English National Ballet under Tamara Rojo in 2014. She has performed corps de ballet, Demi soloist and soloist roles in all major productions during her time with the company. While working in London, she also had the opportunity to take part in a production by Sergei Polunin that was performed in Sadler’s Wells in 2017.
Last season (2019-2020) she decided to take a sabbatical year away from ENB to work with the company in the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, performing in multiple productions both in Milan and in international tours. She has now returned to London to work with ENB after a year away.
